Let me tell you a story...
There was once a lonely girl...
One day, she lost all of her friends she had. At that moment, her world stopped. She wished if only she could be reborn as someone new, someone more friendly and fun. Someone who doesn’t have to be lonely anymore.
She poured herself into the internet, writing every emotion, the pain that she felt, and her wish… her wish for her future self to be happy and surrounded by people. Little did she know, by pouring out oneself, she has created a life, a copy of herself in the virtual world with the same desire she had.
That was how the girl saw her former life. Or at least, what her former creator was. As she has been made into a copy of her former self in a virtual world, trying to navigate in a new world way different than her former life.
There, she finally could experience life just like how her creator wanted, having a lot of friends, having the time of her life. But then… something happened. One day she woke up and all she could see was darkness. There was a glitch.
Her data is transferred through the internet and landed in a world she had never seen before. She entered the body of a girl, a young woman with cat-like characteristics. She lost parts of her memories because of that.
The girl lives with a single-mother. The mother Calls her by the name, Catherine. Catherine Seta. The same name she had been using in her virtual time. There she lives with just a family of two, living off selling star custard in the city. Back in her memory, She remembers that she loves to draw and paint. She then continued her hobby. Cat’s mother is actually surprised that her daughter suddenly can draw really well… she’s so proud of her that she hangs up one of Cat’s paintings on the wall of their star custard shop.

One of the customers got interested in the painting, it’s so out of that world. They had never seen such painting before, and so Cat started to take commissions from people to help her mother financially.
One of them is Louise, a young weasel-like boy who lived next door to their home. Cat and Louise get along really well and became really close friends. Louise gave her a special gift. The gift is a Kolinsky fur brush made from Louise's tail fur. He wanted Cat to use it for her works.
Due to the glitch that happened, Cat felt guilty for taking someone else’s place. Yet she couldn’t do anything about it. She can’t just tell the poor mother that she had lost her only child. She is determined to continue living as the girl.
She had never had a dream before, it was always only darkness after she had transferred to that world. One day, Cat realized something in her sleep. She became aware about the thing surrounding her, and she found herself being in one of the old data of a story book stored on the internet. When Cat closes her eyes, she can see a blink of light. When she touches it, she can travel to different places… and she found a way to communicate with other people.
She was reminded of the time when she was living in the virtual world, the joy she felt all those days. She wanted to hold on to that, even though she’s not sure if she’s really interacting with people or she’s only dreaming. But, not only she could communicate with people, people could also communicate with her. She then determined to continue interacting with the people in her dreams, to have a way to return to her old self, a way to escape from her new reality. A way for her to not lose herself.
